Our goal is to help all new pet owners feel confident in caring for their animal companion.
Adult Cat and Dog Care
Regular preventive care is essential to your pet’s health and happiness. These exams help us monitor changes over time and aid us in providing ongoing wellness recommendations. Between 1 and 6 years old, we recommend the following:
- Annual comprehensive physical exams
- Vaccination updates, depending on your pet’s health and lifestyle
- Ongoing external and internal parasite prevention, depending on your pet’s health and lifestyle
- Diagnostic testing as needed
- Dental care as needed
Adult Pet Education
Caring for a full-grown cat or dog has its unique joys and challenges. At Emerald Hills Veterinary Clinic, we offer ongoing education to owners and their families about how to maintain their pet’s health and provide him or her with the highest quality of life possible.
Senior Cat and Dog Care
As pets age, regular preventive care and routine screening diagnostics become increasingly important, as they help our veterinary team identify illness early and treat it more effectively. When your animal companion reaches the senior stage of his or her life, we recommend the following:
- Twice yearly physical exams
- Vaccination updates, depending on your pet’s health and lifestyle
- Ongoing external and internal parasite prevention, depending on your pet’s health and lifestyle
- Individualized screening and diagnostic testing
- Dental care as needed
Senior Pet Education
We understand the love and devotion that comes with having an animal companion for many years. At this stage, our veterinarians and staff provide information about changes in health as your pet ages, as well as palliative and comfort care options for cats and dogs in need.
